Handmade Recycled Metal Garden Ornaments & Sculptures

Discover unique garden ornaments and sculptures, handcrafted in Zimbabwe from recycled and reclaimed metals. From colourful garden birds and flowers to characterful wildlife and statement sculptures, every Chi-Africa piece is individually made, giving discarded materials a new life and bringing lasting personality to gardens and outdoor spaces.

Chi-Africa began in 1999, bringing together Chichester, where we are based, and Zimbabwe, where our garden sculptures are handmade by skilled artisan craftsmen.

At the heart of every piece is a simple idea: to transform recycled and reclaimed metal into something beautiful. Materials that might otherwise be discarded are cut, shaped, welded and painted by hand to create distinctive garden birds, flowers, wildlife and statement sculptures.

The result is a collection full of individuality and character. No two handmade pieces are exactly alike, and every sculpture carries with it the story of the materials and craftsmanship behind it.

CHI-AFRICA BEHIND THE SCENES

Chi-Africa has always been about connection; between Chichester and Zimbabwe, between creativity and sustainability, and between us and the people who welcome our sculptures into their homes and gardens. Being at Bath Christmas Market brings that story to life all over again. Since 1999, we’ve grown from a small family business into a community built around purpose and craftsmanship, and it’s a joy to share our journey with customers old and new. If you’re visiting Bath, come and say hello - we’d love to tell you more about who we are and the artisans who make Chi-Africa what it is.

A lot of people ask us what Chi-Africa means. The original answer is fairly standard, it is the amalgamation of Chichester, where we are based, and Africa where our products are produced. However, Chi-Africa has come to be an embodiment of a lifestyle for many of us involved with the company. A company with a purpose and with a great background story. We created our business in 1999, and it is still a pleasure to explain more about who & what Chi-Africa is.
